Playing Conditions Calculation

PCC is based on scores made each day and included in the Daily Revisions

The Playing Conditions Calculation (PCC) is the statistical calculation used under the World Handicap System (WHS) to determine whether conditions on a day of play differed from normal playing conditions to the extent that they significantly impacted players’ scores. When triggered, the PCC can adjust Handicap Differentials by between -1 and +3 strokes to account for those conditions.

 

At least 8 scores must be posted at a course before midnight local time in order for the PCC calculation to run for that day. If the calculation determines that conditions were significantly different, an adjustment is automatically applied to all eligible Handicap Differentials from that day.
