How many scores do I have to post before I get a Handicap Index®?

In order to establish a Handicap Index, a total of 54 holes must be played and posted to your scoring record. These scores can be made up of any combination of 9- or 18-hole rounds. (Rule 4.5, Rules of Handicapping)

A Handicap Index is updated overnight after the submission of a score. Timely submission of scores by a player, or anyone else responsible or authorized to submit scores on their behalf, allows for responsive updates and provides real-time measure of the player's golfing ability.
