Why is my membership showing "inactive"?
What inactive status means, why it happens, and how to fix it in a few minutes.
What "inactive" means
Your GHIN membership is renewed annually. When a membership year ends without a renewal, your status changes to inactive — you'll see it in the MyMGA or GHIN app, and you won't be able to post scores until you renew.
Common reasons your account went inactive
Your club didn't process your renewal this year; you left the club that originally signed you up; your auto-renewal payment failed (for example, an expired card on file); or your junior program or Youth on Course season ended. https://youthoncourse.org/knowledge/faq
How to reactivate
Renew your membership — through your club if you play with one, or online through an MGA eClub if you don't (see How to renew or reactivate your MGA membership). Once you renew with the same GHIN number, your account reactivates automatically and your scores are still there.
Think you're already active?
If you believe you should be active — for example, your club says they renewed you, or you're an active Youth on Course member — contact Member Services with your name and GHIN number and we'll check your account directly. In many cases we can confirm you're already all set.
